Ramadan Begins: A Time for Reflection and Renewal

Millions of Muslims around the world are preparing to embark on the sacred month of Ramadan, with fasting commencing on March 1st, following the sighting of the crescent moon in Saudi Arabia. This holy month, a pillar of Islam, is a time for spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and heightened devotion.

During Ramadan, Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn until sunset, focusing on prayer, charity, and strengthening their connection with God. Beyond the physical act of fasting, Ramadan emphasizes compassion, empathy, and community. Mosques will host nightly prayers (Taraweeh), and families will gather for iftar, the evening meal that breaks the fast.

This period of spiritual renewal encourages introspection and self-improvement, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose among Muslims globally. As the crescent moon heralds the beginning of Ramadan, communities everywhere prepare to embrace this blessed month, seeking forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a deeper understanding of their faith.
