Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been officially declared the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the November 8 governorship election

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been officially declared the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State.

Soludo, the sole aspirant in the party’s primary, was unanimously endorsed by delegates at the election held on Saturday at Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.

The Returning Officer, Uche Nwegbo, announced the results, stating: “Total delegates for this election were 3,260, with 3,175 accredited. A total of 3,172 votes were cast, with four invalid votes. Governor Soludo received 3,168 ‘Yes’ votes and zero ‘No’ votes. By the powers conferred on me, I hereby declare Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as APGA’s candidate.”

In his acceptance speech, Soludo expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and reaffirmed his commitment to Anambra’s development.

“Anambra is APGA, and APGA is Anambra. I am humbled by this historic display of solidarity. I accept this nomination wholeheartedly,” he said.
